Application & Technical Summary

The SMG102 is a single-axis (Ωx) gyroscope (gyro) for rollover applications.
The SMG102 communicates via a digital 16-bit SPI interface. Particularly in combination with the SMB200 low-g accelerometer, it becomes an ideal sensor combination for a complete roll-over system. The sensor detects the chassis roll rate during a rollover event.
