Application & Technical Summary
The CAN protocol specifies data communication handling in a Controller Area Network (CAN) bus system.
The CAN protocol and CAN FD protocol license is required for any implementation of the CAN protocol and CAN FD protocol, i.e. self-developed CAN IP modules, CAN IP modules purchased from Bosch or other vendors.
TTCAN protocol and TTCAN FD protocol intellectual property rights are included within the license conditions.
- The right to use the CAN Protocol, CAN FD Protocol
- intellectual property rights for the design, manufacture and sale of integrated circuits or the programming of FPGAs
Delivery of the Bosch CAN specification 2.0 and the Bosch CAN FD Protocol specification
