Scalable efficiency for 400 V traction inverters

Bosch’s SiC power module PM6.2 is the next evolutionary step of our proven PM6 SiC traction inverter platform. Designed for 400 V system architectures, PM6.2 delivers high efficiency, compact form factor, and excellent scalability for automotive powertrain applications. The module integrates the 3rd generation of Bosch’s proprietary SiC trench technology, enabling low RDSon *A, fast switching behavior, and high overall system efficiency.

A single mechanical setup covers the full traction inverter current range of 200–800 A RMS, helping OEMs simplify their inverter architecture and reduce overall application and integration effort. Its compact B6 format (<0.2 L) supports flexible chip configurations from 4 to 12 dies, offering broad design freedom for customized power levels.

With very low module inductance (<4 nH), high switching symmetry (<1%), and excellent thermal performance, the PM6.2 enables robust, high-power-density inverter systems.
